Trip overview

If you are an adventurer, looking for some adrenaline-rush during your stay in Nepal, you should go for Bungee jumping. There are two famous bungee jumping spots in Nepal: Bhotekoshi and Hemja.

Bungee Jump near Kathmandu
Three hours ride away from Kathmandu, the first bungee jumping site in Nepal, “The Last Resort” is situated near the Nepal-Tibet border. You will be jumping off from the suspension bridge built over the Bhotekoshi gorge. The height of the jump is 160 meters. The burbling sound made by Bhotekoshi River below and the rugged surrounding makes your experience even more thrilling. After the jump, you could go to visit the famous historic Nepal-Tibet friendship bridge and spend a relaxing day at The Last Resort or try other adventure sports offered by the resort-like rafting, canyoning, kayaking, and swing.

Bungee Jump at Pokhara
The next bungee spot is at High Ground Adventures, Pokhara. Located 20 minutes away from the streets of Lakeside at Hemja, this is the first-ever tower bungee in Nepal. The height is just about 70 meters and is not as extreme as that of Bhotekoshi, but still manages to quench your thirst for adventure.

Even though bungee jumping does not require any previous training or specific season, some physical requirements must be met. Anyone with heart diseases, epilepsy, high blood pressure, pregnancy, addiction to alcohol or drugs, orthopedic problems, psychological problems, and neurological problems are prohibited from attempting the jump. Also, children below the age of 12 are not allowed to attempt the leap. The average cost for a bungee jumping ranges from $60 to $100. You should wear comfortable clothes, and sports shoes are mandatory.

Recently, the Kusma bungee spothas been tested and approved. The bungee spot is situated above the gorge of Kaligandaki at a height of 216 meters. If you are looking for a jump more extreme than Bhotekoshi, this is the right fit for you. There is even a swing similar to Bali swing at Kusma, but even more thrilling.
