The topographic diversity of Nepal is unique in comparison to other countries. The temperature is below freezing throughout the year over elevation exceeding 16,000 feet. In the Himalayan region of the country, you will be experiencing a cold alpine climate with majestic mountains surrounding you. In the Hilly region, the weather is moderate, whereas, in the Tarai (lowland) region, the environment is warm and humid.
Nepal has six seasons:-
- Basanta Ritu (Spring) – mid-March to mid-May
- Grishma Ritu (Summer) – mid-May to mid-July
- Barsha Ritu (Rainy) – mid-July to mid-September
- Sharad Ritu (Autumn) – mid-September to mid-November
- Hemanta Ritu (pre-winter) – mid-November to mid-January
- Shishir Ritu (Winter) – mid-January to mid-March
Spring and autumn seasons are best suited for outdoor adventures in Nepal.
